KVCD: tried to convert a film down to 1cd?

I have tried to convert a film down to 1cd, its about 90 mins long but the smallest i can get is 950 mb with a resolution of 352x240 can someone please post an idiots guide to setting up tmpgenc showing what settings i need to put in, i know that all films encode differently but there must be some rough figures you can put in, i am using the latest version of tmpgenc , thanks in advance for any tips, cheers, also what templates should i use???

Once we finish the new procedures, everything should merge to one common guide, with only a couple of details like MAX bit rate etc., depending on the type of film. There won't be need for a guide for each template. We're very close to that now. As a matter of fact, I don't use the concept of template anymore :D
Because I use the same matrix and same GOP for everything now with file prediction. So I set my MIN bit rate to 300 and my MAX to 2,500 for everything, except for 3 hour movies where I use 352x240 and a MAX of 1,150. That's basically it. So now I load my "Master" template and make the small changes and encode

Haven't tried the new matrix and GOP at 352x240. Only at 528x480. I also did try it on KDVD Half D-1 with superb results :D. Only changed the GOP to 18 instead of 24 to stay DVD compliant. The matrix does a very good job on compression even on MPEG-2, so I did a small experiment, and predicted a file size of ~1GB with the KDVD and the result is amazing. So theoretically, that should fit 4 two hour movies on one DVD-R
Stay tunned, more things to come 8)

I can't figure out why Red-M's guide makes my browser crash- I'm using Opera :?: It looks like an excellent guide, but when I view it with Netscape the arrows don't line up and boxes with text cover up other text:?:

select all,
file,send,page by mail.......
send to "your e-mail"
wait a minut......open your outlook or (don't know how you use)
and receive your mail with a tutorial...

the reasons your probably having problems is because the webpage was made using M$ Word (the devils tool) if you have word, copy the url then in word click file --> open then paste the url in the filename box and then click open, it should then download the web page inc images (will take a little while) and then save it as a word document and then you should have no probs viewing it.
