KDVD: Choose between 544x480 and Full-D1?

Hi there,
I have tried to patch a 544(528)x480 Mpeg-2 to a 720x480, it worked! I played it in a DVD player which is also compatible with KVCDx3 (544x480). However, I am wondering if the "fooling method" (patching from 544x480 to 720x480) is compatible with other DVD players which do NOT compatible with KVCDx3??

Correct me if I am wrong, the patching method is to fool the DVD authoring program to treat the video as a true Full-D1 file but in fact it is a 544x480. So if a DVD player (itself) is NOT compatible with 544x480, even though the header is patched to 720x480, the player is still not compatible, right??

Yep, you're right. So far, I have tested this on 5 different DVD players, and they all play with that trick

I believe the Pioneer 333 was the other I tested. Not 100% on that one
