KDVD Templates Version 2.0?

Hello all,

I have download Template KDVD-720x576-Full-D1-_PAL, but i like to know what is the different with KVCDx2-CQ-704x576-_PAL_-1CD????

Because i don't see anymore Templates 'KVCDx2-CQ-704x576-_PAL_-1CD' on your site.

Is KDVD-720x576-Full-D1-_PAL an X-Vcd?
How i burn it with Nero?
Burn like No Standard or burn as Standard?
Burn as Vcd or S-Vcd?

Or i use better Template X-Vcd (KVCDx2-CQ-704x576-_PAL_-1CD)

Thanks :)
And keep on that way with your site :)

Hi Alpheratz13,

The x2, 1CD, 2CD, etc are gone. They have been merged into the PLUS V2 series.

These templates are made to produce DVD compliant mpeg files. They are for DVD(+-)R use. Not for CD-R use.

All other mpegs created with the KVCD templates are burned as non-standard VCD. You can use Nero or VCDEasy. Just select "non-standard" in Nero and deselect "Perform some mpeg compliance checks" on VCDEasy. Note that if you use the KVCD LBR template, you don't need to deselect the above options. The KVCD LBR produces an mpeg file that is read as VCD compliant. So you can burn as a "standard" VCD, and not as "non-standard" :wink:

Thanks Kwag for your answers :)

But what is the different between PLUS V2 and KVCDx2??

Because, i try make an sample and see that KVCDx2 is more smaller than PLUS V2.

Is the quality of PLUS V2 more better than KVCDx2???
If yes, i don't see much the different except the size of the sample.

Thanks again :)

All V2 use a new matrix and GOP. You must use file prediction with the templates. The new PLUS V2 quality far surpases the quality you would get with the old X2 parameters. :wink:

I don't know how works this programme.
Prefere use manual of TmpgEnc, if is't possible?

Is mean that i can use this Template with same parametre like (CQ, High Quality (Slow), Source Aspect Ratio : 4:3 625 line (PAL), 44100, Dual Channel & Bitrate : 128 (Same as KVCDX2 CD1 PAL)??

If yes, so correct me if I have wrong :

PLUS V2 is same as KVCDx2. Can use this same parametre, except matrix and GOP are different and better don't touche them...Right?

Thanks alots for your help :o :wink:

Hi Alpheratz13,

Here's a short tutorial on how to use prediction: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2102

Thx alots for your help :)

But there are 1 probleme, you talk much about Divx or Dvd NTSC, but How you make For PAL??

I suppose the parametre that you put are not same as for PAL, i talk about this Parametre :

Quote:

LoadPlugin("E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\MPEG2DEC\MPEG2DEC.dll")
LoadPlugin("E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\LegalClip\LegalClip.dll")
LoadPlugin("E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\Blockbuster\Blockbuster.dll")
LoadPlugin("E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\FluxSmooth\FluxSmooth.dll")
LoadPlugin("E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\Sampler\Sampler.dll")
LoadPlugin("E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\GripFit\GripFit_Preview.dll")
avisource("D:\Temp\Divx_movie.avi")
LegalClip()
GripCrop(352, 240, overscan=1)
GripSize()
FluxSmooth()
LegalClip()
#Sampler(length=24)
You see what i mean??

And other probleme are that i am bad with Math (Numbers) at school hehehe...so i think for guys like me use the old way to make an X-Vcd, more easy than right now, Now is more thinking and working with numbers.
But thanks anyway Kwag :)
Thanks for decouvery KVCD :)

For PAL, the only change above would be this: GripCrop(352, 288, overscan=1) :wink:
The sampler line stays the same, because 24 is the size of GOP in NTSC and PAL KVCD templates.
