File prediction problem!

I'm using the KVCDx2-CQ-704x480-_NTSCFilm_-PLUS template on a backup of my Ice Age DVD. The movie is 81 minutes. Running this template, I get a video stream just under 800 mb and the seperate audio stream is 133 mb. Mux'd together, it's way over 800 mb.

Isn't the template ALWAYS supposed to make the video stream + the additional audio stream < 800 mb ????????????????

I'm getting confused..........HELP !!!!!

No. The template simply tells TMPGEnc what settings to use when encoding. You have to specify the correct CQ (i.e. quality) level to use so that the resulting encode will fit on one disc.

If you read the sticky at the top of this forum you'll have a good idea how to do this, and black prince just made a guide to encoding from AVI to KVCD in which he explains the file size prediction method.

Other than that, I recommend you read a lot -- the question you asked has been answered quite a number of times already, quite recently :).
