TMPGEnc Plus vs Mainconcept MPEG Encoder?

To Kwag and other mpeg hardcoders: What you think about Mainconcept MPEG Encoder, may be it's faster and have higher quality than TMPGEnc?
May be it's customizable enough to applicate newest Kwag&Co researches? :)
There is an URL : http://www.mainconcept.com/mpeg_encoder.shtml

I found the speed is amazing when compared to TMPGEnc. It is two to three times faster. I entered Kwag's matrix and the quality to me was close enough or identical to TMPGenc for me to think about purchasing it. You get the speed of CCE and identical or near the quality of TMPGEnc for $150 instead of the $2000 CCE costs. For someone who does not use AviSynth this is a top of the line encoder.

Do a quality comparison on a HDTV. I think you'll agree about TMPEG's advantage
I understand the speed is a real advantage, but for cramming 2 hours on one CD, TMPEG in CQ mode just can't be beat (yet!) :)
Maybe for small ( ~1hour ) footage, MainConcept will be about the same as TMPEG. But not for long movies.

Altough I don't have a HDTV (I have 20" TV), I didn't like the quality of the MainConcept encoder. No comparison to TMPGEnc.

It's a pity, cause I really need the extra speed (I have a PII-300 at home). Other encoders that I hoped had a little more quality and/or were less buggy are the Ligos LSX, Nero SVCD plugin, and Intervideo WinCoder. They're all lightning fast, but I prefer to wait 30 hours for TMPGEnc and have great quality, smooth playback, than to wait 6 hours and have not-worth-to-watch, buggy playback. Of course if I go for fitting 90 minutes in 3 CDs all encoders will have reasonable quality, but at this bitrate TMPGEnc will just look awesome.
