Best way to split a KVCD?
I am encoding Harry Potter. As this is a long movie, I will use 2 CDs.
I would like to know what is the best way to split the .mpg generated by bbmpg using the SVCD trick. I have found that bbmpg allows to split the file, and even to enter the start and end second. But that is not frame accurate. I would like to know if there is any other soft to perform a file split without affecting the SVCD trick. Should I have to split and demultiplex with TMPGEnc and remultiplex with bbmpg? Many thanks. |
Gaudi ,
try this in bbmpeg: in general settings tab in max size (mb) put the size that you want. if the size of your movie is for example 900mb, and in "max size (mb)" you put 450, then you get 2 x 450 mb. |

I would rather prefer to select where to split (indicating the frame). Many thanks Gaudi |

and i have the same problem. you have to cut in tmpgenc but it's really hard cos kvcd is vbr. it's a boring work: in "merge and cut" select the point you want to cut and do it. when you play what you cut you see that the point is cutted before of in what you want. redo it many times to get the exact point. is really boring  when you got what you want, use "simple demultiplex" and go to bbmpeg again. why? if you cut an 800mb in "merge and cut" in 4 parts of 200mb,this 4 parts can not be burn in a 700mb. don't know why but the size increase. 8O but if you use the bbmpeg again, then it decrease the 4 sizes again. i try many progs to cut just like we want but no one gives at now the best result. :( then i use this boring way. |
