DVD2SVCD: Matrix settings?

Is there a matrix.ini file with the new KVCD Matrix. I could make one myself based on the template but knowing me i'd get it wrong! If not, then i'll make one myself and posty is here!

p.s - I've just discovered how good DVD2SVCD is at making KDVD's and KVCDs. It gets the filesize exact everytime!

jamesp,
wait for Kwag or another wise one.
if in a few hours don't have an answer,i post my new,ok?
(and Kwag see if my script is good)

waiting with you. :)

jamesp 02-09-2003 02:53 PM

Jorel mate!

Do you have the martix file? - i'm about to do an encode so if you don't have it i'll just make my own one.

p.s - from your post header it says you are from brazil. Apparently, Ronaldinio is about to join an english football club. DOH! Could you imagine it after what he did to us in the world cup!

hy Jim,
about Ronaldinho..... !

this is the last script that i use to do kvcd.
i use the KVCDx3Mpeg2 with 480x480(my player works in480x480)
very important:
i'm a newby, only get fantastic results because the people here
is very friendly and wise!they really help me.
and my english is poor, excuse my errors!

copy this and save as dvd2svcd.ini (backup the old)
abd put it on the program folder.
change the adresses of the progs, dlls, size, time, etc.
if you need dlls,progs,etc...get it all here:

http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....25372affaf815a

i'm learning to make kvcds without dvd2svcd prog,
and you have to try too.
search in forum and you get all answers.

Jorel,

Thanks a lot. In actual fact, i've been making KVCD's for about a year now, and i'm a little bored with the manual process. I tried DVD2SVCD last week and was amazed by its accuracy with file prediction and never knew it could make KVCD (or KDVD for that matter). Also, batch mode makes things a lot easier when i'm away on business for a few days!

3 weeks ago i got a DVD burner so i now make KDVD's with DVD2SVCD and i just wondered if anyone had put the new kVCD matrix into DVD2SVCD - you had and you lent it me so many thanks! I get 2 films to a disk but with the new notch matrix i'm hoping to get 3!

Many thanks jorel - have fun with all the encoding. And - you never know - maybe oneday Brazil will loose to England!! I WISH! :(

jorel 02-09-2003 04:19 PM

you wrote;
"maybe one day Brazil will loose to England!! "
yes,maybe..... but Brasil never ever win the

"BEATLES"!!!....(i have lots cds and "vinil",uncluding pirates)

the best thing that happens in this century on the earth!
(welcome to Rolling Stones too.) :D

and wrote too:

seems amazing!
do you want to teach me(us)??
i really want to know!

thanks in advance!

Batch Encoding
-----------------

Right - its actually a little complicated for avi's but ok for dvd rips:

The key to it all is the dvd2svcd batch.bat in your DVD2VCD folder which keeps a log of all your encodes.

1) Open DVD2SVCD - Select all your options as you want them and then select your DVD to rip.
2) Select Rip only (don't encode the movie yet)
3) Go to your DVD2SVCD directory - open dvd2svcd batch.bat with notepad.
4) The last entry in the batch file will be a link to the rip you've just done. Remove all entries before it as DVD2SVCD keeps a history of all your encodes.
5) Rip as many DVD's as you want, all will be added to the batch file.
6) When ready, double click to run the batch file - all the dvd's you have ripped will be encoded in a batch.

At the moment i have a problem when each encode starts because it brings up a message box saying recovery not necessary - i wonder if you get that too.

Hope that helps,

Jim
