TMPGEnc: Sharpen filter?

hello to all

is the sharpen filter builted in tmpgenc really good,
or is better use another one like blockbuster or unfilter?

i search first for quality ,after for speed.

thanks :)

Hello jorel,

I think BlockBuster("sharpen") does a better job. Not to mention the speed advantage

Edit: That's what I think. I really haven't done a comparison on quality/artifacts measurements.
Something else to try. As far as speed, BlockBuster wins every time :D

thanks Kwag,
your opinion is like a "law"

Is this still that law? :) I'm looking for a sharpen filter now. Which one does'nt kill the encode speed like sharpen does? What setting would you use for Blockbuster or Unfilter?
Thanks

Try BlockBuster(method="sharpen", detail_min=1, detail_max=100, strength=25)
Remember, this is good for 352x240(288) and 352x480(576). You don't need sharpen above that.
