KVCD: default settings in TMPGenc and VCDEasy?

I have been making VCDs for a little while, and sometimes they work okay, but I am a bit dissapointed with the quality.

I use the default settings in TMPGenc and VCDEasy. I would like to use some of your tools, but I don't quite know how to use your templates. Where do I use the .mcf file? Will the quality be much better?

Also, I read that I can make my DVD player play SVCDs if I use a "VCD header" on my SVCD. How would I do this, and do I use the software that I am currently using?

Thanks,

drewson99

hi,
im a newbie too but I think I can answer the first part of your question :) save the kvcd template (with .mcf extension) into the \template directory of TMPGenc and then when you run TMPGe press the load button and you'll see the KVCD template in the list!

I have no idea about the vcd header in the svcd's but that sounds very interesting

@Drewson,

i found this link on how to do the vcd header thing in so your player will play svcd's:

I haven't tried this yet- see if you have any luck with this

Randy
