Yes -Well I think I did
I did download it but maybe I did something wrong. I'll try again. I am trying to follow the guide step by step. :oops: thanks as usual Kwag Signed VCD4ME |
Ok kwag
I Re-installed them and still nothing Tmpgenc says file unsupported- and again this isn't a movie file so How will tmpgenc open it I must be stupid or something :( I copied this script thing exactly and named it my movie.avs Quote:
What exactly do I do with this avisyth program? Where do I input the actually movie(d2v file)? Where do I input this my movie .avs thing? Thanks in advance VCD4ME P.S. This is why I don't like it when I make a post on the other site about how do these thingswok?-the responses that I get are just follow the guide. Now look I don't even understand how to do this even though it sounds simple. Example (off topic but a good analogy) You can bake a cake using a boxed cake mix and follow the directions,or you can make one from scratch. You could have all the ingredients in front of you but if you don't know how much flour milk eggs etc.. to put in then mix you can't bake a cake from scratch. |
Hey vcd4me,
Did you download and properly install the ReadAVS VFAPI Plugin for TMPGEnc as instructed in Sansgrip's "Recommended TMPGEnc Settings" stickypost in the TMPG forum here?: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2223 You need that so TMPGEnc can open the .avs files you create. Also, you'll need to change your .avs script so it reflects the proper pathname to wherever you have your .dll's stored on your PC, as stated in Black Prince's guide. You can't just copy Black Prince's sample script exactly as it is in the guide and leave it totally unchanged and still expect it to work (unless of course you are using the exact same directories/pathnames on your PC as Black Prince does on his PC, which is probably unlikely :wink: ). So instead of: Code:
LoadPlugin(“E:\DVD Backup\2 - DVD2SVCD\MPEG2DEC\MPEG2DEC.dll”) Code:
LoadPlugin(“put the correct path to your .dll here\MPEG2DEC.dll”) Code:
mpeg2source("D:\Temp\movie.d2v") Good luck, -d&c sidenote: it looks like Black Prince may have forgotten :?: to include the GripBorders() line right before the final LegalClip() line in his guide's sample .avs script, so you may want to add that line in also. |
Thanks dazed&confused
I think I am dazed and confused :lol: No offence to black prince but I am a total newbie and that guide obviosly isn't intended for a newbie. Thanks for your help everyone but all this work and still nothing. I have no idea on how to change all these things that you are telling me. I have very little computer experience. I only know how to run the programs not change them around. I think I should just stick to making regular vcds/svcds, because i need way too much help. Thanks VCD4me |
Don't give up vcd4me :!: It will soon "Snap in" :lol:

Something that could help you would be to install dvd2svcd just for it to automatically install the vfapi readers and avisynth correctly. That is what i do as a shortcut when i periodically reformat my harddrives. That should work for ya. Good luck

@vcd4me,
Try "MovieStacker" to build the avs script. Check for it on "Downloads". It installs all your "Loadplugin" files and builds the script for you. Your right!! My Guide is not for someone without any former experience, but it won't take long for you to get the hang of it :wink: -black prince |
Thanks everybody
I'll try again . Black Prince thanks for not taking ofense to what I wrote and thanks for the tip about movie stacker. I'll give it a try. I have a few questions about movie stacker though.. 1.When I use movie stacker - is the source file that I enter an actual movie file ?(example-Blade2-d2v). 2. Does movie stacker take the place of this avisyth (step 4) ? 3. After I use Movie stacker do I then use tmpgenc? Thanks for the encouragement everyone Signed VCD4ME |

They are greyed out I now have more questions 1. How do I fix those numbers? 2.Once I load the .avs file into movie stacker are there any settings/ numbers I have to change? Thanks in advance VCD4ME |
