I cant save as wav. in VDub!

I cant save as wav. in VDub 8O

Audio>Full processing mode
Audio>Conversion> (Sampling rate) No change (48000Hz), (Precision) No change (8-bit), (Channel) No change (stereo). > OK <

Audio>Compression>No comression (PCM)> OK <

File>Save WAV>VirtualDub Error

The request audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format. :x

So I checked my file information and found out that the Sampling rate was 48000, the same as in my other movies. But! the Channels was 5 (stereo). My other movies has 2 (stereo) Could this be the problem :?:

PLease help :!:

G'day Wolfi

Download a program called gspot and open the avi it will tell you the formay of the audio, sounds like it is AC3 audio

Thanks urban tec :) I downloaded the prog as you said. I suppose I should look at the Audio Media path to see witch format my audio is in... This is written: WAVE_FORMAT_AC3 (0x2000). So is the audio in WAVE or AC3 format 8O

And how can I separete AC3 or WAVE audio from the movie 8O

This would be AC3 audio if you install this codec it should let vdub decompress ther AC3 stream. You could also try not setting audio to full proccessing in vdub and then save wav, this will seperate the audio from the video and give you an AC3 file you can re-encode to mp2 with headac3he.
