VCDEasy complaining about 704x576 PAL bit rate
Hi there,
After encoding a small avi file with the kvcdx2 template, I tried to burn the final result with VCDEasy. But after loading the encoded file, VCDEasy complains about the 704x576 PAL bitrate and refuses to continue... Did I miss out on something when encoding the file in the first place (I did make sure to set tmpenc to "non standard VCD" for what it's worth). TIA. Tom |

Thanks kwag. Works fine now burning the whole thing with Nero!
By the way: is there any 'complete guide' to read in relation to gathering movie properties, 'tweak' any kvcd settings etc. before encoding the whole thing with tmpgenc? Cause I started encoding The Matrix, but having only encoded 20% after 6 hours I guess I missed out on something here... Greetz, Tom |

There's no guide to kvcd, as it's just a template with special parameters and tweaks. So all current TMPEG guides that currently exist, apply the same. If you were at 20% in "The Matrix", that is very slow!. What CPU do you have? kwag |
hi kwag,
1ghz Intel processor, 256Mb, Seagate Barracuda 7200 Should do the trick huh? Maybe I'm stuck with the source... from VirtualDub I get the following file information: Framesize: 640x304, 23,976fps Decompressor: DivX mpeg-4 nbr. of keyframes: 821 Audio stream: 48000Hz, mpeg layer-3 I also tried just to encode the 'normal way'with the vcd PAL template (CQ 60), resulting in bad quality and sound not being synchronised to the movie after burnng with vcdeasy Greetz, Tom |
oeps...
sorry kwag, just found out I'm using the wrong template in tmpgenc! that's what you get as a newbie in the business  Lets try again shall we??? Tom |
