KVCD: Mpeg too large?

hey guys

i'm trying to encode a 119 minute 16:9 pal dvd rip on to 2 cds.

i am using the kvcdx3 template with 528x576 resolution and cq of 100, i also use tmpgenc to encode the audio at 190kbs at 48000hz. the resulting file was just about 2 gig!! 8O

what settings should i use to get it to fit on to two 800mg cd's with the best possible quality??

thanks

You could try 352x576 template or a lower CQ, I usually encode audio to surround 2, 128 kbps, that saves space too!

Use tok to predict the file size, with tok you can try different approaches!

the cq of 100 is your problem. try a lower number.
