KVCD: Can't get rid of the combing!

I am capturing cable tv 352x240 MPEG2@ 3000k

I run it thru DVD2AVI and then run MOVIESTACKER.

I have tried different settings but I keep getting combing in the video. Please advise

If it's a cable capture, make sure "Force FILM" is NOT selected on DVD2AVI, and then process with telecide and decimate in your script.

I don't use the Forced Film option. Should I convert all cable captures from 30 fps to 24 fps? Should I try the Field Deinterlace? Thanks.

Yes. And encode at 29.97fps and see if it looks smooth.

How should he encode in 30fps when kvcd templates are only for 24fps & 25fps?
