mpeg has no video or video?

hi guys..

I have a major question.. i use the kvcd templates to encode all my movies now.. its great.. but some dunt work.. like mission impossible 2.. the end result has nothing.. no video or video.. and the file is quite large..

i use 704x480 template... use vdub to extract audio..

help!

is your source DivX or DVD? What script are you using? If your source is DivX, I'd encode a sample with TMPGEnc and turn preview on, see if there's anything there. And check you have the right codecs installed.

Can you playback your encoded mpeg with WMP :?:

I get the same problem, I have followed thw guide from black prine to the letter, so afte using TMPGEnc with preview, the final file wont play woth eother WMP or bsplayer. This is the script i used.

Mpeg2Source("G:\kiss.d2v")
LegalClip()
GripCrop(528, 480, overscan=2)
GripSize(resizer="BilinearResize")
SpaceDust()
TemporalCleaner()
BlockBuster(method="noise", detail_max=7, variance=0.3, seed=1)
GripBorders()
LegalClip()

I don't know if this hepls but the name of the finished file is video.m1v and not .mpeg

Hi takischitt,

You probably have a CODEC problem. Have you tried playing one of the KVCD samples throughout the forum in WMP :idea:
Also the extension, .m1v, will play fine in WMP.
