Kvcd: What resolution is the best?

HI

I WANT TO CONVERT SOME DIVX TO KVCD WITH KVCD*3
TIME OF DIVX AROUND 1H15 - 1H30mn

WHAT RESOLUTION IS THE BEST

352*576 (CVD)
480*576 (SVCD)
544*576

I WANT TO DO SOME COMPARAISON BETWEEN TMPGENC AND CCE
HOW CAN I USE THE MATRIX IN CCE

THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS

JP

DEPENDS ON THE RESOLUTION OF THE ORIGINAL DIVX, PICK THE RESOLUTION CLOSEST TO THE SOURCE RESOLUTION.

You can download a patcher to apply the matrix to CCE, search for it in Google. But CCE and TMPGEnc comparisons have been done before, and TMPGEnc has always come out best, so I would say don't bother, stick with TMPG.

RESOLUTION

HI

BUT I ALWAYS THINKS THAT CCE WAS BETTER IN MPG2 COMPRESSION THAN TMPGENC

FOR THE RESOLUTION IT IS 576x312

THEN 544X576 IS PROBABLY THE BEST AS ITS CLOSEST TO THE SOURCE.

As for MPEG2, I dunno, I only encode MPEG1 so I havent used CCE. I have attempted to use it before, but because I had to feed it a pseudo AVI file instead of an AVS script I found it a bit tedious...there are mixed opinions about this. CCE is faster and (probably) it does a better job, so try it yourself, and go ahead and use CCE if you find it's better. :)
