How to convert DivX to KVCD?

I've read through the guides and as good as they are, they don't seem to be what I'm after. All the guides appear to cater for those people actually starting from a DVD and ripping to DivX themselves.
I already have DivX files that I've downloaded, so there is no possibility of using DVD2AVI to create projects, so one step of the guides fails, as does the part where you convert ac3 to mp2.
Is there ANYWHERE here, guide to convert a DivX file with PCM or MP3 sound, to KVCD without all the ripping bits?

DivX to KVCD

I did, but I was lost with the MovieStacker bit - it merely says 'Use MovieStacker', then gives a sample listing, but when I fire up MovieStacker, there's a load of options that I haven't got a clue how to use, so I was a bit lost with this guide 2.

KVCD is VERY new to me, so I need to led by the hand to get this working, sorry!

Hi sgt912,i was exactly with you when i first tried,it takes a bit to learn everything here but man is it worth it,Try this guide it is a little more detailed and explains how to use moviestacker and just incorperate the two guides together. You can skip the beggining parts because it deals with ripping but the rest of it is pretty useful for AVI's.

Believe me if i got it anyone can.

hope this helps

Got that

Thanks bigggt - I've downloaded that guide and my problem with MovieStacker is still there - at the start of the relevant section, it deals with loading in the .d2v file created with DVD2AVI - having not done that section, I don't have a .d2v file and also don't have an audiostream to add in - that's included in the avi file.

All you do is click the source button in moviestacker and load your avi this will put the audiostream in and i think all it does it just give the size so moviestacker knows how much video(you do the audio seperate anyway.)

Then follow the rest of the guide

let me know how it goes

Tom
