KVCD template for Smartphone (KSPV)
Guys,
I've just purchased the Orange/Microsoft Smartphone and PocketTV has just been released in BETA form for it. Has anyone played with templates when converting movies to watch on the phone ? Will it be a complete waste of time converting a movie to watch on it ? If it is worth it then what about one of Kwag's template for it maybe the KSPV  There are some sample movies that the PocketTV team converted and they used the following : "TMPGEnc defaults, except for the following: - Video: 176x136, CQ_VBR with Quality set to 11, Motion search = Highest quality. - GOP: Number of P = 9, number of B = 4 Detect Scene Change = no. - Audio Sampling freq = 32000, Channel mode = Mono, Bitrate = 32 kbit/sec - if you want stereo, use Audio Sampling freq = 32000 (or 44100), Channel mode = Joint, Bitrate = 64 kbit/sec If you use those parameters, the average bitrate should be around 120 Kbit/sec, i.e. about 100MB for a 2h movie. " I was wondering what people's thoughts were on this and how/if the quality could be improved. TIA Jas |
Hi jmjarvis,
I did the complete "The Matrix" movie on 128MB using KVCD templates for Pocket PC :) . Get them here: www.kvcd.net/dvd-models -kwag |

Anyone have any sample movies created with this template.
Also has anyone experienced watching these movies on the SPV ? Just wondering if I'm wasting my time. TIA Jas |
