Encoded file is mostly grey with occasional pixels? using DVD2AVI
I encountered a strange problem when I created a project file with DVD2AVI 1.77 (just downloaded today)- the encoded file is mostly grey with occasional pixels. The source is interlaced 4:3 29.97 dvd. I tried it without deinterlacing and same problem- but the problem's not there with DVD2AVI 1.76 8O I didn't see any settings that were screwed up- have YUY2 and pc scale checked
thx |
I've got to try this out!. I did a .d2v project yesterday on a movie with the new DVD2AVI. I haven't encoded yet, but I previewed it in TMPEG, and it looked ok.

if it looked ok in the TMPGEnc preview window then you probably don't have this problem because mine was f'd up in the preview- also loaded the .d2v into vdub and it was screwed also. I'm thinkin' that I had some settings wrong in DVD2AVI??
ps- running win2k server (hardly ever have problems with anything else except games :)) |
this problem just happened again on another movie (ntsc interlaced 29.97 4:3) but this time it looked ok in vdub :? Also I just noticed that DirectDraw overlay is checked- what is this?
