TMPGEnc: MPEG-1 vs MPEG-2 format?

I've heard that the latest TMPGEnc Enocoder has the MPEG-1/2 format output. Now I'm curious just how this MPEG-1/2 format compares with say the MPEG 1 format. Could I burn the MPEG-1/2 format to VCD? Does the MPEG-1/2 format has a better compression than MPEG 1? Has anybody heard of the MPEG-1/2 format ???

Well my friend i thinck you are confuse here. what it means is TMPGnc does mpeg 1 or mpeg 2 format, there no such thing as mpeg-one half (1/2) format as far as i know.
