TMPGEnc: Frame Convertion from 23.976 to other?
I have several XVid AVI Files with 23.976 fps. In the past I left the fps untouched and converted the movie with KVCDx3 template.
After that I extracted the sound with NanDub and converted it with HeadAC3He and muxxed it together mit bbMpeg. It works fine, but I don't know what settings i have to set when I want to burn my creation because its not PAL (25fps) and not standard NTSC (29.??fps) frametype. I know that 23.976 is a NTSC frametype, too. But not the expected one for (S)VCD. Can I leave the fps untouched or would you suggest me to make a frame convertion before transcoding? What is with the audio track then? It won't fit with the converted video source. How do I change the framerate of the audio track? |
Just leave the framerate alone and burn as non-standard VCD (or SVCD if mpeg-2). If your player accepts the KVCD GOP and resolution it will play fine. You don't have to do anything to the audio, just mux it with BBMpeg.
23.976 fps is the NTSC film standard. |
