external audio engines
Hey guys, I know everyone uses headac3he and besweet to encode their audio but I've started using the AudioDub function and have had to go back to using external audio engines in tmpgenc. I was just wondering what was generally considered the best frequency converter (48-->44) and mp2 encoder. I tried SCMPX for both and found the audio was terribly tinny at 128kbps. So now I'm using SSRC 1.29 and tooLame 0.2L, and am pretty happy with the results. I was just wondering if there are any better combos out there... I noticed that SSRC is pretty old, so how do the other options compare (i.e. wavefs44, WTC), and where can I get them?
Thanks guys! |
In my opinion you are already using the best ones --> SSRC 1.29 and tooLame 0.2L

Ya have to admit, you guys are the best!!! Okay so here's a thought... would it be better for me to do frequency converting separately with headac3he rather than let tmpgenc do it with ssrc? Or do they both use ssrc anyway? Also, can I tell tooLame to encode in dolby surround II? Thanks guys!
