 i did 3 jpg images with MovieStacker working in my 98se. give me your mail in pm please,... i send this pictures for you :!:  MovieStacker, ToK, dvd2avi, bbmpeg, tmpgenc... every program needed for encode works perfect and 98se for me is faster, with soft system to work and very light too. now here, i'm using 98se and all my encodes and samples was using this system :!: win ME is good too but a little heavy, seems 98se with "cosmetics". it's a "gay" version of 98. 2k system is secure but a little slow. i can't stand XP in some features cos is really slow and the pc seems a "rubber" or drunk, this really bore me. but is secure and stable to encode. hints to encode in 98se: maybe this is out of your answer but help a lot, give performance: desable everything that you don't need before encode :!: hit "control+alt+del" and turn off everything, let only "explorer" and "systray" :!: "try this in XP and you'll see tons, tons of things working... this fade the processor and turn the system too lazy." desable the audio board, modem, all that you don't need. the processor will be free only to do your job. then you got power to encode and will be faster too. |
movie stacker2000 beta3, avisynth252 (all filters) do work on Win98SE. I am brand new at this and just did a 1 hour 26 min vid onto a VCD standard compliant using Nero 5.5. This config played in an Apex AD-5131 and Apex AD-1500. I will see if a SVCD will play alittle later (it should play).
Several files had to be moved around for it to work though, such as: video.tpr had to be moved to subdir ..\opt video.en1 moved to subdir ..\opt tok.ini moved to subdir ..\opt they were originally put in the same dir as the other Tok files. Downloaded all avi252 filters into one dir (i call it filters 252) and had movie stacker point to them by changing the movie stacker .ini file and went to where it would call for the default filters dir and changed it to the one i wanted. Also download newest sample.dll file (sample-2.5.dll) for movie stacker and had the setting for Tok pointing to this one not the one Tok |
Also after all this, when you first open moviestacker it will have a message about avisynth252 just click ignore and keep going 8)

Thanks Wasel :!:
I had thought about trying that, but didn't get around to it. Thanks for verifying that it works :D -kwag |
