desired final size = 290mb

d2s see my movie as aspect radio
4:3(no borders, encoded as 4:3)
in conversation tab.

then i change the adjust in
^source_ana=true to "false"
cos my source is fullscreen (not anamorphic)...
i see the movie on powerdvd and in d2s preview to get the aspect radio.

when d2s end the encode i got erroneous aspect radio...
big black borders on top and botton! :?
the size of files:
Encoded_video_TMPGEnc_NTSC_FS1.mpv = 232mb
Encoded_Audio_1_FS1.mp2 = 35,9mb
d2s give 303 final size when end the job!

if i mux in bbmpeg the Encoded_video_TMPGEnc_NTSC_FS1.mpv
with the Encoded_Audio_1_FS1.mp2

For sure you didn't do anything wrong. I always use "source_anamorphic=false" as I encode a lot of TV series. And everything go correctly.

If you can give me the logs, it will be better.
(and the script also, as aI changed it a lot since the last one I gave to you).

You said that when you see preview into DVD2SVCD, the ratio is correct but the encoded MPEG as big borders ? Right ?

It's the first time I see that ! As your other problem : I _nerver_ had this !

Perhaps that GripCrop that have a problem with your movie ! Did you test to encode the film with the standard "bicubic resize" or "Bilinear resize" proposed in the frameserver tab of D2S ?

(I know, the image won't be nice and thj file will be huge, but it's just a test :-))

Some little things to change :

1=MaxTreshold=^max_threshold
-> remove this line, it's useless
(and re-number all the other lines, of course)

yes Phil,
i did another script changing the griptfit to bicubic for tests.
when i change in the frameserver tab to
the script with bicubic, i don't see any problem!
i can tick the "new frame" thousands times and the preview stay perfect.

changing back to the gripfit script, after some previews the
height and width change with differents sizes for each click! 8O
sometimes is perfect, but just another click and it change again. :roll:

this is only using gripfit, with another resize it works ok!

will gripfit give errors in final file?
can i stay using gripfit or change?

I'm quite sure there won't be any error in the final file. I did dozens of KVCD using DVD2SVCD and gripfit without seeing any problem except that sometimes GripCrop fails in removing existing black border and let them in the picture it send to tmpgenc.

not sure if this thread is out dated now or what but its been helping me all night 8O but now i gotta go to work and have run in to a problem i cant work out im currently trying to incorporate Semi Auto Crop And Resize v1.06 (link to it in this thread somewhere) and motion adaptive filtering i seem to have worked out most kinks from the script but the one i cant get rid of is when i click preview it seems to hang on dvd2avi

hopefully one of yous can help me out :?
