KVCD: Jumping video?
Ok I posted a similar thread a while back, and I got the answer that the problem might ne the minimal video btr and my DVD player, but it`s not couse I just noticed it also jumps on my pc too. It`s only noticiable on camera moves but sometimes is anoying (like in landscapes scenes, and so on) heres a small sample of what happens to me, I have to say it`s not always.... http://www.agentenaranja.com.ar/matias/test.mpg Here you will see how the clouds jumps a little evrry sec or 2 :x
It happens with KVCD3 at 480x480 in both mpg2 and mpg1 heres the sript I use lately  AviSource("D:\Movies-videos\irreversible.avi") LegalClip() GripCrop( 480, 480, overscan=2 ) GripSize(resizer="BicubicResize") STMedianFilter(8, 32, 0, 0, 8, 32) # SpaceDust() # Optional - for some "not so clean" DVDs. unfilter(30,30) Blockbuster(method="noise", variance=.5, seed=1) temporalsmoother(1,2) ##mergechroma(blur(1.50)) ##mergeluma(blur(0.2)) # Convolution3d or DCTFilter for extreme worse cases. GripBorders() TextSub("D:\Movies-videos\irrsub.ssa") LegalClip() Sampler(length=24) I don`t use mergecrhoma/lun filters couse they slow down my encoding to much and the result is not better than I what I got without them. any Idea whats cousing this efect? PS: it`s a 93 min movie with a CQ of 79,8 |

yeap the source was 25fps and I encoded to 23.976 fps, how an I solve this? becouse my player don`t suport PAL  , Should I add AssumeFPS(23.976)??? that will give me problems with audio?
Thanx in advance Kwang!!! |
Hi AgNa,
Your player might not support PAL playing DVDs, but playing VCDs is something else :) Most DVD players play NTSC and PAL VCDs Have you tried a VCD(KVCD) at 25fps  -kwag |

Then maybe the only option might be the "AssumeFPS(23.976)", but you're going to have to use GoldWave or another audio editor to re-encode your audio to match the speed :!:
I've never had to do that, so I'm not sure about the result. But I would try that :!: You should encode a small clip with that function, and check to that the playback is smooth. If it is, then go ahead and do the conversion. -kwag |
