Divx Video/Sound Quality problems?

I watch divx/xvid movies on my computer quite a bit. They all work fine (not the problem), i was just wondering if there is any program/filter thing which can be used to increase either the quality of the picture or sound while watching the movies. I use Zoom Player Professional as my movie playing program. Any ideas???

Thanks

nm i got that working, but ffdshow is making the picture worse. Are there are settings i should know about to turn on or off to make sure i get the best quality???

Thanks

P.S i did try playing around with it but it gets worse, if people have settings they use and work i would appreciate knowing.

Uncheck everything except "postprocessing" and in the "postprocessing tab" :

- check "process whole picture"
- check "postprocessing" and "presets"
- put the slidder meximum to the right and checl "automatic control" just below
- check "mplayer" and "luminance" and perhaps "full luma range" if your screen is too dark
- unckech "nic's"

Thats all.

Whatever you pick... add ReClock!

Check out the utility called "ReClock"

http://ogo.nerim.net/reclockfilter/

It is mainly used to help with playback issues but has some nice realtime audio and video quality enhancements.

It also eliminates just about any jerkiness, or framerate issues.

(It can cause trouble when encoding because it fools the encoder into thinking the video is different... so make sure to disable it before running TMPGEnc, DVD2AVI, or any tool that reads the video file using a CODEC).
