PIONEER DV434 Audio skips every 10 seconds or so

This is my first attempt at making a kvcd. I was very happy with the video quality but the audio skips around every 10 seconds. It dosent look to be out of sync, its just like the effect that a cd has when it has a bad scratch on it (yes i checked for scratches!!). Works fine on my pooter. I burned with nero, does it have any issues? Any suggestions?

Hi scratchie77,

I have the Pioneer 444 and solved this problem by increasing the min bitrate to 600 and the VBV to 22.

No more audio problems.

Dan.

500 should be the minimum, I put 550..

you have to remember some players are sensitive to high min bitrate..

so far 550 is minimum for my pioneer 636d.. play around with yours

VBV?

I am a little new with kvcd. I made a try and the result is perfect except some glitch in the sound. I used CQ and put the min bitrate to 600 but how change the VBV to 22? I put the B picture spilage to 22... Is that it?

Hi Shadu:

To change the VBV variable, inside TMPEG settings click on VBV buffer size, and change it to 44 ( if what you want is a value of 22 ). The value in TMPEG's window is measured in KBytes. So it's your (value*2) what goes in there.
