Filesize prediction assistance?

I've read through everything I could find on the site but I am still having problems figuring it out for my own.

Can anyone explain it (plain and simple) filesize prediction for the KDVD template?
I've used the half D1 and ended up with a 1hr40 min video @ 799MB (not bad) but :)

Thanks ahead of time!

Hi trillium,

You can use ToK :). Make sure you download this: www.kvcd.net/video.en1 and put it on your "Opt" directory, where you have ToK installed. Now when you check MPEG-2, the encoded file will have 3:2 pulldown. Just make sure you change the GOP size to 18. These changes are for NTSC only. If you are encoding PAL, you'll have to edit the file video.en1 and make the necessary changes. Also, it's set to encode at 23.976fps (with the pull down flag of course), do it's basically designed for progressive DVDs, which most are anyway :!:
Then you can use the "Free" spacing, instead of number of CD's, in ToK ;)
