DVD2SVCD: KVCDLBR-Settings.ini TMPGEnc
Im curious about my settings maybe they could be better I downloaded this from kvcd.net:
"KVCDLBR-Settings.ini" This is what it looks like when I open it: (I open this in "load settings" on the "Misc" tab in DVD2SVCD) I never modified the dvd2svcd.ini that came with dvd2svcd 1.1.3 b2 The settings i'm looking for a are for vcd/ntsc divx to vcd? dvd to vcd? I used to convert in TMPGenc using the kvcd templates changing only the size: 352x240, Aspect ratio: 4:3 525 line (NTSC) and Frame rate: 29.97fps) always got great or decent quality, was I doing this right I have no idea now i want to use them in dvd2svcd but I dont know how to select the differant templates [Executables] PVA Executable= vStrip Executable=C:\Program no,no Max!
first do it: in the default folder of the prog, you have the file called  "matices.ini" ! copy the KVCD Notch BETA-1a to the matrices.ini and save. select the KVCD Notch BETA-1a in the matrix tab of the prog. |
Ok so I need to edit the "matrix.ini" with: KVCD Notch BETA-1a and save.
But what about the rest of the settings? is this the only thing I need to change with my script? |
Max my friend,
read this thread and you will see good answers. post your doubts after this ok? http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4424&start=0 |
Jorel my friend I realy apreceate your help but I have read everything in
that thread and every link it led to the problem is too many scripts and I dont know which is the one I need. The only thing I understand is to copy the KVCD Notch BETA-1a into the matrix.ini in the dvd2svcd folder. 1. Do I keep the original dvd2svcd.ini, alter it and if so what script do I use and where is it? Can you paste here so I know which is the one I need? 2. How do I set up the bitrate tab to encode one cd instead of 2? 3. What should I set the Min avg and max avg to and min and max to? 4. What numbers should I set for the GOP? All I know is after doing what I did above I ended up with a 92min movie on 1 750mb file encoded at 100 cq is that good? I dont know looked good to me but I dont know if I was just lucky this time, I'm trying to learn to do it the right way so I can understand how it works. Some day I will be the teacher and I dont want give bad information so please help me understand what im doing wrong, I need a place to start from a script of some sort, settings I tried Moviestaker but every script I make with it says (" invalid integer value) when i open it in Toc what dose it mean? How can I fix it? I read somewhere in here it said after 90 CQ its just overkill is that true? How do I predict file size with the sample I get in Moviestacker to avoid this? Seems I have more to read so I will go and read some more guides that cover these topics and continue to search for the answers, im trying to get the basics down so I at least know what to ask because right now I seem to be all over the place with no real dirrection. Maybe Im just not asking the right questions well guess I should go and continue my search now but thanks for helping me you have been very patient with me and I apreciate it I will be arround if you need to talk to me. |
hey it's too big and my english is horrible, than
when i read the end of your post i forgot what i read in the begining!  important observation: your script posted is using the KVCD Notch BETA-1a don't need to change it :!: let me read in the preview: 1- script? post it here? don't be lazy  read more! is on the page 3 of the link that i post. and there is the last new script. 2- 8O simple, change all numbers in the bitrate tab to use  1 CD size 800 (is correct in the script that you posted) 3- adjust editing the script or in bitrate tab min 300, max 2500 4- adjust editing the script or in "adv.Set." in the encoder tab. TMPGEnc GOP I Pictures=1 TMPGEnc GOP P Pictures=24 TMPGEnc GOP B Pictures=2 TMPGEnc SEQ Headers=1 TMPGEnc Max frames in GOP=24 you wrote: "Some day I will be the teacher..." welcome,i will learn some with you. :) here i'm only a helper, not a teacher. "...and I dont want give bad information so ..." great, then answer me: where you found this script that you posted :?: i have a "soft" remember of that. "after 90 CQ its just overkill is that true?" more than 90 only encrease the size don't give more quality. "I have more to read so I will go and read some more guides that cover these topics and continue to search for the answers" your answers are here my friend, i'm not perfect but just ask and i try to help. but first follow me,ok? read the link that i send to you. the script is there and much more... and don't forget: my english is horrible! |

its on the 3rd page that will defanatly narrow it down...Thanks. I will look again maybe I overlooked something Note: is this script you mentioned to replace the dvd2svcd.ini or add to it? Quote:
asked Kwag for it...Hmm I will check but I think this is correct. Quote:
very well dont sell your self short  |
again my friend Max,see some reasons that i post this link:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....er=asc&start=0 you ask about GOP: see the second post of Kwag :!: you ask about the KVCD Notch BETA-1a matirx: read the post number 4 of swin...the kvcd notch is there. there was wroten: "10) Copy the following lines into the matrices.ini file in the DVD2SVCD folder: -..." see Max? for this reason i send to you again this link. take it easy, read in "slow motion". really important: http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2464 Download the compatibility test and burn in cdrw, test your player or you can loose your work if you choose resolutions that your player don't show! all this is in the link that i post for you (again). see the big first post of Dialhot. he teach how the script works and how to use it....is fantastic! Max,back to the link!  after you read this pages, post your doubts! :!: |
Is this it Jorel?
Quote:
or copy it to the last line in the dvd2svcd.ini or do I replace the dvd2svcd. ini with this one above? Will this work with avisynth 2.08 or do I need 2.5? |
no ,this is not the last!
 the last script is in the last page of the link posted. see my post "Posted: Wed Jul 02, 2003 8:03 am" :!: new script after changes: ... copy this script to the end of dvd2svcd.ini and change this line: Avisynth Setup=LanczosResize to: Avisynth Setup=New252 and save!... the script will be load automatic in frameserver tab,no need to change. this script work with avisynth 252 only :!: of course, read the name of the script. after install the avisynth252,put all filters needed in the "plugins" folder in AviSynth 2.5. (program files?) don't know the default location in english, mine is portuguese. READ THE LINK MAX :!: your answers are there,i'm only readind the link posted and answer you...don't you see it? |
Ok I think I got it: This has to be the one but it was on the last page of the
forum, ok so I copy this after the last line in the dvd2svcd.ini and save it. Next paste KVCD Notch BETA-1a at the end of the "matirx.ini" and save it. Then change the GOP to 1, 24, 2, 1, 24. And then edit some of these lines? Did I get it right this time? :dunce: Quote:
|
the script is here:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4424&start=48 like my last post: "the last script is in the last page of the link posted. see my post "Posted: Wed Jul 02, 2003 8:03 am" new script after changes: ... copy this script to the end of dvd2svcd.ini and change this line: Avisynth Setup=LanczosResize to: Avisynth Setup=New252 and save!... the script will be load automatic in frameserver tab,no need to change. " right? |
This is the only one I see

not find it, I was looking these words to guide me to the script. |
This line "Avisynth Setup" does not really need to be changed in the .ini file : it's just the default option chosen in the "frameserver" tab of DVD2SVCD.
If you forgot (or don't) change it into the .ini, all you have to do is to remember to go to the "tab set" and chose in the scroll menu "New252 script" insteed of "Bicubic rezise" or whatever else is the default for you. |
Quote:
use the "enter' in middle of your phrases or it got big width from left to right.  i wrote to Max Powers: "copy this script to the end of ... .... to: Avisynth Setup=New252 and save!... " for one reason...sometimes when i don't change "Avisynth Setup=" in the d2s.ini,when i open the prog, the script "change" and miss some lines cos the script in the end have to be the same name in the frameserver tab... or i copy the new script before the last script or i change the " Avisynth Setup=" in d2s.ini to the same name of the last! if i don't choose one of this two ways, ithe script get errors. :!: @ Max: the line Avisynth Setup=LanczosResize is in your first script that you posted when i wrote to you change the line. see your first post... the important in this case is: after "Avisynth Setup=" put the name of the last script in d2s.ini. the last is called "new252", then change to: Avisynth Setup=New252 :!: ok? |
The first script I posted was one that I found in the forum. Kwag post it for
you because you ask him to. Name of Script: KVCDLBR-Settings.ini(This one have: Avisynth Setup=LanczosResize) In Bitrate all option for cd=1 The one that come with DVD2SVCD. Name of Script: dvd2svcd.ini(Avisynth Setup=Bicubic) In Bitrate have more than for 1 cd (ie, 76-100=2cd) I get (script error: There is no function named "Fielddeinterlace" Line 4) when I check the preview on the converstion tab. Which one do I Paste new script (252=Setup) in? Because you say this one:dvd2svcd.ini but it sounds like you mean this one: KVCDLBR-Settings.ini |
ok Max.
this script is what i use and i need the deinterlace but you don't. then we remove the fielddeinterlace. changing the script: [AVISYNTH_New252] 0=nf=0 1=undot() 2=Limiter() 3=asharp(2,4) 4=GripCrop(^TargetHeight,^TargetWidth,overscan=^ov erscan,source_anamorphic=^source_ana) 5=GripSize(resizer="BicubicResize") 6=STMedianFilter(^stm1,^stm2,0,0) 7=MergeChroma(blur(^max_threshold)) 8=MergeLuma(blur(0.2)) 9=ScriptClip("nf=YDifferenceToNext()"+chr(13)+"nf> =2?unfilter(-(fmin(round(nf)*2,100)),-(fmin(round(nf)*2,100))):TemporalSoften(4,round(1/nf),round(3/nf),0,2)") 10=GripBorders() 11=Limiter() 12=function fmin(int f1,int f2){return(f1<f2)?f1:f2} ^overscan=1 ^source_ana=false ^stm1=8 ^stm2=32 ^max_threshold=1.50 see,we only remove the fielddeinterlace and adjust the numbers the script! copy and paste again, the problem is gone! :) edited: number are correct in the script now. was my fault. |
Same error for "undot"
Also I noticed you change your numbers and have 9 twice and skip the 8 is that how I need to do it? Why I keep getting this error, am I missing a filter? If I get the same error again do I just erase untill I dont get the error no more? |
Quote:
the script is correct now. and yes,if you get errors, you miss a filter. put all filters in the folder "plugins". don't erease anything in the script! :) |
