KVCD: maximum time anyone has gotten on one 80min disc?

I'm curious as to how close everyone has gotten to 120 minutes. I'm in the process of doing a 90 minute movie that I want to put on a cdr with the best quality possible. Anyone with advice or tweaks to kwag's template, please post them here. Thanks

It all depends on the action of the video ( and the brightness, noise, etc. ).

I've done some +-135 minute films in one 80 minute CD-R with the template at the standard CQ=70 setting.

Hallo,

i have done a captured vhs with 88 minutes (PAL). The mpeg-file was 806MB - i set the maximum video-bitrate to 2000kb/s and the resolution to 352x288 - all other settings by default.

3hrs and change

as Kwag-neken stated, it varies from movie to movie. First GOP then the Heineken/Corona, depending on your region. :D

If you're talking as Straight Time on a cdr {and more or less forsaking visual quality, at least on the tv, on the pc it played okay...}, then the most time I've been looney-tunes enough to try is 3 Hours. Pearl Harbor. There was some space left on the 74 min cdrw for a couple of trailers.

If its time/quality, then the one i did last week had a great balance of quality and file size. Mulholland Drive. 750mb, 147 minutes including credits. Haven't watched the whole movie but a couple of the scenes with that fine-a$$ Latina, are very well acted :D, ¡ Impressive, Indeed ! . Representing, or what.
