KVCD: NTSC vs. NTSCFilm ?

So why are all the NTSC type templates (for TMPGEnc) in NTSCFilm at 23.976 instead of regular NTSC at 29.97?

Hi getsome831,

Because they are designed for "progressive" FILM material. If you are going to encode a 29.97fps interlaced source, such as a DV matereial, then you need to change it to 29.97fps.

So its just as simple as cranking it up to 29.97...silly question, but i'm totally new to this...will that also increase the file size, and if so...by how much would you estimate?

Thanks again,

Your file size will increase by ~20% when you encode at 29.97fps, compared to a 23.976fps encode.
