KVCD: successes Using the NTSC 352x240 LBR template!

Gladiator (154 minutes)
Harry Potter and the chmber of secrets (160 minutes)
Planet of the Apes (Charlton Heston 112 minutes)I've also had a few other successes, but they've been in the 70-90 minute range, which is still nothing to sneeze at.

I did notice one thing today; when playing back the Harry Potter movie, I had my onscreen display on for some reason, and was watching the time counter and noticed it was off by ~60% (it would read 20 minutes, when lets say it was actually 50 minutes or so into the movie). It was the same with all of the other KVCD's I've made. It's no biggy, because I get a time notification at the start of a KVCD such as 76:52, and knowing the actual time of the movie, I can easily make the conversion....just a very small thing (and it may very well work okay on other people's DVD players).

Hi Tom,

The time issue is a problem on the DVD players, because they are not designed to read variable bitrate MPEG-1. So the time will be off, I guess in about 99% of the players in the market :)
( Until more manufacturers visit KVCD.Net, and see how many people are using MPEG-1 VBR, and they implement the corrections on the DVD's firmware ;) )
