VirtualDub: difference in the size of file after encoding?
can someone tell me why there's such a big difference in the size of the file when i extract audio with virtual dub..?
when it's FULL PROCESSING MODE= file size 1000 mb when it's DIRECT STREAM COPY= file size 90 mb so what's up with such a big difference? |
Direct stream copy extracts the file just as it is. Same format (mp3, etc.)
Full mode extracts as WAV, and that's a HUGE difference :) -kwag |
hi christian000
 the audio with the DIRECT STREAM COPY will got the same size of the audio source! means..the same without encoding! what is your source? and with the FULL PROCESSING MODE will give the size for the encoder choosed to encode. seems that you don't choose the encoder using "full processing mode", then vdub use <no compression (PCM)> as default! it give big file size! edited: Kwag was faster again! |
vdub
so i do all that.. and multiplex with TMPEGenc?
will the audio and video be in sync then? |
You have to convert Wav into MP2 before muxing it ;-)
