Use the latest script Dialhot recomand for DivX. Paste it in to avisynth.ini in DVD2SVCDs directory. Place the plugins you need into that directory that DVD2KVCD have copied it's plugin into. (the files DVD2KVCD has copied is grip_fit, UnDot.dll, TemporalCleaner.dll, unfilter25.dll+++). So find this directory, and place the need files into this folder (you need to add Convolution3DYV12.dll and blockbuster.dll)
I hope I can update to the new avs DivXscript, but I have problems with it to :?

azel 11-19-2003 09:12 AM

DVD2KVCD 2.0.10:

-Audio encoding with HeadAC3he after video encoding will make imagesize even more precice.
-Removed DivX avs scipt for a litle while. It seems to be buggy. If you want to convert DivX movies, add the script manuelly

jorel 11-19-2003 09:26 AM

azel my friend,
thanks for your great(and hard) work!

maybe off topic:
about headac3he i had problems a long time ago using frame selection,
take a read please:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1989

of course,in my opinion headac3he give better quality
but only work in d2s using sweethead and without frame selection!
sweethead link:
http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1560
all hints are welcome!
thanks!
:D

@ Jorel
Hi!
Yes, encoding with headAC3he doesn't support frame selection.
But you don't need Sweethead, DVD2KVCD does the job sweethead should do! But you have to use BeSweet if you want frameselection in the mean time.

@ TheDJ
Try the latest version, DVD2KVCD 2.0.10. There was some bitrate bugs in the 2.0.8 version. But I removed the DivX script, because it had so many bugs, and CQMatic is not so good at DivX converstions. I think that maybe standard DVD2SVCD prediction is best when converting DivX movies.
Don't care about worst CQ. It have no function longer. It is a function that I made for some of the first version of DVD2KVCD. This version had a own prediction system, and it choose the best template for the movie automaticly by choosing a worst CQ. But I won't remove it, because I maybe add the function again one time in the future.

@Azel,

just d/l'd 2.0.10, and got an error starting dvd2kvcd.

Line1223:
RunWait, "D:\\DVD2SVCD\\\D2K\\AutXtra.exe" *clipboard

Error: Unable to run program. (Ensure that backslashes \ have been used properly).

Big2hd 11-21-2003 09:00 AM

Nice Work with the new version Azel

I just made a 150 min kvcd with no troubles, tad bit slow though(took 12 hrs for encoding alone!!), but i'm try settings Dialhot explains next time.

Keep it up Azel, nice plugin!!

TheDJ 11-21-2003 11:39 AM

^^ i noticed this bug, too. i solved it with just executing a former version of dvd2kvcd and let it extract all the files to the d2k-directory, and then replacing the old exe with the new one! that should work.
maybe you have to look at the d2k.ini, changing the link to cqmatic, but anything else should be fine!

TheDJ 11-24-2003 07:02 AM

Ok, i just downloaded the latest version on another PC, loaded up ok, but when i got to the BBMpeg part, it failed to find the mp2 file???

This is very weird, it doesnt work at all on my PC at home, but at my friends place it loads, but doesnt complete a conversion.

Choose normal as audioencoder in DVD2KVCD menu. Maybe there are a bug when using HeadAC3he as audioencoder. Please post your log

I removed all functions like avisynth filters, etc. The only thing the plugin do, is to do prediction with CQMatic. Please report your results. If it seems to work, I add other fetures back again!

I call the new version DVD2KVCD lite 0.1

Once again, I do not recomand this plugin to convert avi's to KVCD. If you do, use DVD2SVCD's standard prediction.
