Open this script under wmp and see if it gives an error.

Do the same under TMPGENG to see if the problem comes with it.

Sorry, I didn't understand your question.
Can you be more specific :?

TheDJ 09-06-2003 02:22 PM

Use SKVCD 480 x 576! If you are a NTSC user the resulution will automatic set to 480 x 480, and you don't have to choose between PAL/NTSC!

azel 09-06-2003 04:20 PM

New version again with some small changes:

- Added FAQ
- Bug: D2K will choose Automatic vbr when choose KVCD 352x240/288

But CCE is faster. Will You add it in DVD2KVCD 2?

Cos I work now more with CCE. like vmesquita...
But will CCE produce the same quality??[/url]

Think about it

I'll upload new DCD-Samples created with CCE on my page soon

BTW: I add your page to my links on my page...

But what kind of settings should I use?

-720x576?
-KVCD notch matrix?
-No CCE filters?
-One pass D2SRoBa or multipass?
-The same avs-script as KVCD?

Should I maby use theese settings???

subs in dvd2kvcd

Hello i always use subs when i use dvd2svcd but now i want to make kvcd with the dvd2kvcd plugin .Are subs supported with the plugin..
Thanks

jorel 09-07-2003 11:36 AM

@ Avalon....urgent:

i'm thinking that you don't read the warnings
that Phil and Kwag wrote especially for you:

http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6053

if you don't understand,i can try make it clear to help the forum and you:

send everybody to the guides and templates that are in

 http://www.kvcd.net :!: :!: :!:
here is the base for the forum, the guides, programs and templates.

WHEN and IF Kwag give the AUTHORIZATION for you,
then you will feel free to use your links.
BUT IF Kwag don't signals OK like in the link posted,
is better follow his instructions cos he deserve respect and
what he wants in his forum,EVERYBODY have to follow him :!:

excuse my horrible english but this is not the case cos
Phil and Kwag wrote in very clean english, better than mine words!

or we all start that you don't want .... :seehearspeak:
about KVCDS in his own forum/site. 8O 8O
for me it's a crazy and very strange conduct :!:

thanks!

Yes, of course. Goto subtitle tab in DVD2SVCD and select the subtitles you want. It's not more difficult! :)

CCE multipass encoding with the "KVCD" avs script will be much slower than 1-pass encoding in TMPGEnc.
I've also tried one CD's DVDrips with CCE, but I think that TMPGEnc and KVCD template is much better. But if you go for more than 1 CD's, I use CCE and D2SRoBa!

I've heard that many think 480x576 make better results than 704x576 with SVCD bitrates.

An other problem with CCE is that it doesn't support the same GOP structure (max 15/GOP) as KVCD (24 frames / GOP)

D2SRoba is a pluggin for DVD2SVCD. It works only with CCE. :!:

Hello i have bin busy for two days now to get subs in a movie using the plugin dvd2kvcd for dvd2svcd.
ok i take permanent subs in dvd2svcd but if they are hardencoded in the videostream i must see them while encoding the video in tmpgenc.
When i make a normal vcd so without the plugin i get subs

Do you use the 1.x.x version? Because this plugin does not change any subtitle settings. You select subtitles like you do when you use DVD2SVCD normally!
PS! If you have used an older version, you have to check the TMPGEnc path in DVD2SVCD's encoder tab! It should be the path to TMPGEnc, not DVD2KVCD!

If this doesn't work, could you post you AVS-script?

The problem is there :
Code:

function ConvertToYUY2(clip c){ return isYV12(c) ? c : convertToYV12(c) }
I told in an other post that this trick can lead to subtitle misfunction. And it was jusst confirmed today :

http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5985

(see the thread, I give the solution in it)
