Bitrates: My file is too big, don't understand!

I have a 75min movie, i'm using the guide from there http://members.lycos.co.uk/dcdvideo/...cqmatic_ad.htm step by step.

At the end, I always get a file arround the 900Mb, and this is only the M2V file. The sound is not multiplex yet.

My question is WHY?

CQMatic (1.1.01) give me a CQ78.98 after the #10 prediction.

My file to encode is MPEG2 704x480, 23,976fps with a average bitrate of 1318. The template I load at the beginning is the KVCDx3_MPEG2.

What i'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Sometimes TMPGEnc will default to the DVD standand, to avoid this I always load the KVCD template I am going to use. I would suggest you download all the KVCD templates and try that. It works for me. You should always double check your template setting on the bottom line of TMPGEnc before saving that way you will always be sure you have loaded the correct template. Hope this helps.
