Tmpgenc doesn't recognize mpeg taken from DVD camera

Hi, i own a Hitachi DVD cam and i transfer the movie using Ulead DVD Movie Factory SE, which by the way seems to be the only program that can be used to take the movies from my camcorder to my computer.

It creates an MPG file that can be easily read by Windows Media Player.

But it is impossible for me to load it into Tmpgenc ! The program tells me that the file is unreadable or not the correct format. Ulead make nice VCD but would like to use kvcd instad.

Anybody has any experience with DVD camcorders?

Thanks

Hi grosbarbu,

If WMP can play it, then check that you have "DirectShow Multimedia File Reader" option selected in TMPEG's environmental settings.
