TMPGEnc: Which header type When Using Merge and Cut for KVCDs ?
use? I used MPEG1 VCD and the file size of my cut files got much bigger then the original.

... because your original is a MPEG1 VCD (non standard)
Note1 : remember that Merge/Cut unit for TMPEGenc is the GOP, not the frame. It always cut at the nearest GOP border that is before the point you give Note2: because of the VBR encoding mode (that is the "non standard"), the feature don't work very well. |

my memory is horrible this days.... :(
i was trying to remember this software from hours ago. womble is really cool. |
But I recently found that KVCD file was not recognised as "correct" MPEG-1 format by NERO after cut by the tool of MPEG-VCR. I mean that a 750MB of KVCD file modified by MPEG-VCR did not fit into a 80 min CD by NERO. NERO treated it as data file when with the VCD (non-standard) compilation. But the un-touched original KVCD file (795MB) can be put into one 80 min CD by NERO.
Any idea about what was wrong? |
Hi dongxu,
Cut your mpeg file with BBMpeg, selecting start, end points in time. Just demux your audio and video streams, and let BBMpeg mux by time or by size. -kwag |
Thank you, KWAG. bbMPEG got it right.
