How do I burn SKVCD with nero?

Hi,
I have an MPEG file described as an "SKVCD".
The description I get from Virtual dub (with MPEG2) is:
480x576 @ 25fps
The length is ~ 2:30 hours.
Size ~ 780MB

I've tried to burn it with Nero - VIdeo CD with unchecking the "Create standard compliant CD".
That didn't work on the DVD player (the time counter on the DVD ran at like 50 times the normal & no picture).
OK, I understand now that it's because It's an MPEG2, so I have to use the SVCD in nero.

But the questions are:
1. Do I uncheck the "Create standard compliant CD"
2. What about the comatibility button - do I change anything?

My DVD can play VCD/SVCD with no problem.

BTW, I played the file on the computer (with POWERDVD 5, and it was very, very choppy - never seen that with other VCD.

Sorry for the long post

Unfortunaly, that not means that it will play KVCD correctly.
You should first try to burn the samples provided by Kwag

(I never find them on the home page where they are supposed to be :-(. Can someone tell to shutdown where they are please ?)

Well, the samples are here:
http://www.kvcd.net/samples

But, as I statet, I need to burn SKVCD, so what good are these samples?

Anyhow, thanks. :D

The samples are to check the compatability of your DVD player. Just because it plays VCD/SVCD does not mean it will play KVCD/SKVCD. You said you already burned it as non-compliant VCD so now burn it as a non-compliant SVCD. If it does not work then there is a compatability problem.

No I'm not talking about these mpg samples but about a Nero disc image and a VCDEasy cue/bin image that you just have to burn on a CDRW to see wich format you player is abble to read.

Here's the compatability image to be burned in Nero:

However all 6 examples are KVCD MPEG1, so there are no MPEG2 examples for you to test. But it's still a nice utility to use.

Thank you all.
I will burn it as non compliant SVCD.
