inverse telecine makes the movie looks jerky?
 

I use to tmpgenc to encode the kvcd.When i don't check the inverse telecine the movie looks jerky when I do click it so that inverse telecine is on the picture turns out fine.Should I just continue doing it that way I am,using inverse telecine,or is there another way to fix this?

It all depends on your source. If the source is telecined, you iVTC. If it's not, then you don't.

Kwag is there a way to tell if it is IVTC?Sorry for the stupid question.

You can do it with Vdub or TMPEG.

Thanks Kwag.Btw.I just wanted to say once again that I was massivly impressed with the quality that KVCD's pump out.I converted a 700 mpeg avi file,bit rate running at about 1200,to a 630mb kvcd with quality running at 1800.I had no quality loss what so ever.I than decided to take 2 other avi files,aprx 330mbs each and convert them to KVCD.Same as above I ran the bit rate at 1800 and it only came out to about 340mbs for each file.I ripped it to disc to see what quality it would be and I was amazed.I had no quality loss what so ever.
If I had done any of these files,especially the 700mb one, to VCD it would have taken 2 discs.The other 2 files still would have been over 2 discs as well.From now on I am surely sticking with kvcd.

What is "telecined"?
