KVCD: fitting more than 80 minutes on my cd ?

Hi all,

I have a AFK DVD player.
It works fine with all the samples and the video i burned.

I used TMPGEnc to mpeg an episode of tv i recorded to my computer.
the episode was 20 minutes long and ended up being 160mb.
I used a noise reduction filter in TMPGEnc to vastly improve the quality.
I used the KVCD-CQ-352x288-_PAL_-PLUS.mcf template.

I thought the template was meant to fit like 180mins of video on a 80min cd. And if i helps i used a "CQ" (which i have no idea what it is) of 59.

Am i doing anything wrong to not be able to fit more than about 90 minutes on the cd?

Thanks,
James.

Hi James, and welcome :D

Read about file prediction in the forum. Take your time, and look at some of the great guides. You'll find them at the main page of our site, www.kvcd.net
Look under the "Articles" section.
Also look at the CQMatic/CalcuMatic forum, which is designed to find optimal CQ in TMPEG, so you can fit your targets in one CD.
