Video is 110 minutes, but after encode only 39 min?

I have 3 movies I have encoded recently, and all 3 are around 110 to 140 min long, after encode to M2V, I play back the file to see the results and the movies look fine, but the time is way off, these are from DivX & XviD sources but the DivX & XviD soursces play fine also and show the corredt time. Anyway the problem is when I mux the sound and video with BBMPEG and burn to CDR the movies start at various parts of the film , not at the begining, or middle , but all sorts of places (but play fine on PC after mux)

ATT: DialHot: this is not the matrix reloaded, these are starwars episodes and I am having a hard time trying to get them to burn and play on standalone DVD (ApeX AD-660) I know it is not the player because it plays all movies in the format (480x480/576Mpeg2)

We discuss that a lot already. This depend on the codec you have. In fact it seems that you have only two choice : having the correct time but with a seeking time that can be very long (ligos splitter / ligos mpeg2 decoder for instance), or have the seek okay but with false time displayed (Elencard splitter / Darim mpeg decoder for instance).

I never found a pair of splitter/decoder that give correct results (and a spent hours to test all possibility offered by the dozen of codecs included into ACE MEGA CODEC PAC PRO 5.93)

It seems you already talk about this. Perhaps a matter of burning or dirty disc ? (if you have a finger print on the disc, the player jump to the nearest clean area sometimes).

Does the disc play fine also on the DVD-ROM reader of your PC ?

I have not tried to play the discs on the PC after burn, I will do that now and see the results. thanx
