i-frames error at 99pct of mux
well the topic already mentions it
if i mux without 'svcd scan offsets' and 'align sequence headers' playback is jerky even on pc. so i mux with those options enabled, but lately bbmpeg gives a weird i-frames error at 99 pct. i ve tried muxing with tmpgenc (as svcd) and that seems to work ok, but a) i can't skip parts while watching it on pc (using any player) so i can't verify it being a complete and decent conversion, on the other hand it works almost flawlessly on my standalone. b) every time i play svcd's muxed with tmpgenc the screen tilts like 5mm up and down all the time every half a second or so. => very annoying! is there anything i can try to solve any of my problems mentioned above? thank you :) i use tmpgenc 2.520.etc plus (the latest version anyway). |
solution found
ok i ve finally found the reason behind all of this
apparently my player doesn't like ntsc very much although it claims it's fully ntsc compatible. guess that goes only for dvd material  so after converting to PAL the picture is stable as it should be. |
