Is CQ Value of 60 bad to use for KDVD using CCE?

I'm using CCE with Avisynth and using Vmesquita's quide and script. I can't seem to fit 325 mins of video and audio onto 1 DVD-R at CQ 40 and 192 kbps MP2 so my only choice is to increase the CQ value to 60 and reduce audio bitrate to 160 kbps in CCE which then I'm finally able to fit it in. I would to use a lower CQ for better video quality and a higher audio bitrate, any recommendation?

Try encoding 16:9 at 4:3 keeping the aspect ratio. Saves a lot of space and makers no difference in a 4:3 TV. But if you're using my script you're probably already doing that. Q60 is no good (at least for me) with DivX sources. With DVD Sources, the RoBa method people say it's the quality limit. Audio in 160 kbps is not bad, but you can use AC3 if you want. :D

Last but not at least, try my new calculator!

rs008f,

Don't use CCE built-in filtering, avisynth is much better. Use the default settings on my template (right now I can't take a look on Avalon's to see how it is set-up). As I told you in another thread, look for scripts specifically for cartoons, you can get a much better result this way.
And keep DVD complilant (which does nothing but set the bitrate as 9800 which causes trouble with some authoring app like scenarist) and add end sequence code unchecked.
