How to prevent cropping and still be able to use gripcrop?

I'm using Vmesquita's script and I realize that it crops the video. I believe it has got to do with the Gripcrop line, I set my overscan to 1. I just want to have black borders around the video but no cropping. My alternative is to use FitCD's script but I prefer Gripcrop since I don't have to specify source resolutions. Is there a way to tell Gripcrop not to do any cropping at all?

Gripfir always do a _little_ crop in order to keep the aspect ratio.
In fact it trys to minimise the percentage of A/R change that Moviestacker (come on man, FitCD is prehistory ! ;-)) indicates to youon the right side of its screen.

Try to change some settings in Moviestacker and see how the croppinf change in order to keep the percentage as low as possible.

There is no other way to do that : cropping or loosing the A/R !

I rather lose the A/R (aspect ratio right?) because the video I'm encoding has subtitles on it. I'll use FitCD then. Is there really no way to tell gripcrop NOT to do any cropping? Are gripfit and gripcrop the same? I don't have a gripfit function in my script.

1/ No you can't
2/ Gripfit is the name of the plugin providing the 3 commands Gripcrop/Gripsize/Gripborders

(and 3/ FitCD is still prehistory. move to Moviestacker :-))

Ok, there is another task : How to FORCE gripcrop to crop MORE? :) I mean - I have 16:9 source, for example, and want to create Pan&Scan 4:3, ok, not _exactly 4:3, but with black borders top and bottom (for example - 48 pxls). Is there an answer? :)

The same : it's not possible.
The purpose of gripcrop is to find automatically the best value to have the most of the picture on the screen without screwing the aspect ratio.

It was designed for that ! The idea was to avoid the manual operation done previously with Moviestacker (or FitCD) to find the settings for bicubicresize and addborders.

Thus, if you need other settings than the optimal one, you have to do it by hand, as in the old time.
