Codecs: PlayBack Flickering

I recently had to re-install my system. Installed all required KVCD files. Ran some test at 352x240. On play back in the system as well as the final CD-RW and play back on my standalone DVD Player, I am getting video flickering from the start. Never had this problem prior to my system crash. What is causing this? Suggestions and Comments please. Thank You.

Still having the problem.....anyone know what is happening and why? Woul like to get this fixed..........as stated above, this happens after processing theough TEMPGEnc, when played back on the PC or when burned to CD. The review during the TMPGEnc processing good. Thanks again........

Bud,
i did Dalmatians2 a few days and mux in tmpgenc!
i burn in cdrw for test and in pc play very cool
but got some pops in the audio and freezes in the video
in the first minutes of the movie in my 2 dvd players
.....i was trash it when i think:
why don't mux again with bbmpeg!
after this i burn in the same cdrw for test.

works perfect in my players and in pc.
i never did this problems before!

Thanks for your suggesting. I will try that and post here. Like I indicated I have never had this problem until my system crashed and I re-installed WIN XP Pro and all the software, I lost all the Video CODECS so I'm thinking it may be related that one that is missing, but will give your suggestion a go......thanks again

yes Bud,really true....see what i (re)found:
i had burn in cdr the 2 "versions" of Dalmatians2!

one muxed with tmpgenc and the new with bbmpeg!
i was thinking that was only in cdrw!
the "problem" stay the same with the muxed with tmpgenc
in my 2 players and the version muxed with bbmpeg works OK.

i confirm....is the same encode used to mux with tmpgenc and bbmpeg!
just like you i never did this problem before!
if you want (or anybody) i cut the first seconds of each cd to send,
with and without the problem!
now i (we) have a proove that using tmpgenc to mux the files,
sometimes give problems....(like Kwag always wrote!)

I have ID'd my problem. It goes back to the basics....when I re-installed all my software including DVD2AVI, I forgot one of the most important things in using KVCD and DVD2AVI......I forgot to set the FORCEFILM in DVD2AVI......I guess I was in such a hurry to get things back on line I just overlooked some of the basics. Things are working just as they should now......the next time (and there will be a next time) I have to re-load my system I will do what a lot of us don't like to do and that's read the instructions (For using KVCD) to refreash my old tired memory......thanks for all your input.

Bud
