KVCD: Convert 4:3 video to 16:9

What do I have to change in the script or tmpgenc to change the picture size from 4:3 to 16:9? I have a widescreen tv and the 4:3 lowers the CQ for nothing, the picture is a little distorted anyway!

Hi CheronAph,

If your picture source is 4:3 full screen, you can't convert it to 16:9, because your aspect will be thrown off :!:
What exactly is it that you want to do :?:

Tha aspect ratio is thrown off anyway cause I always watch them widescreen, I hate the black bars on the sides!

well if u got black bars on the dvd then when ripped and loaded in tmpgenc use clip frame to get rid of the black bars.

I meant that I have a 16:9 tv and if you want to watch a 4:3 tv show or a dvd with the right aspect ratio you get black bars on the left and right of the screen, that´s why I usually use IDEAL picture whic stretches the picture to 16:9!

ok if u goto clip frame then arrange setting. in there change arrange method to centre (custom size) and got to a frame where there is picture and not black u cen the set the height of video see how it looks widescreen. (if u understand any of that lol)
