KDVD sample and cDVD
According to my limited knowledge, put Mpeg-2 DVD-compliant video onto a CD-R, it's called cDVD (my player can handle this). Question:
(1)---Is there any KDVD sample (both half D1 and full D1) around? (2)---Can I say that the quality on cDVD will be the same as on DVD-/+ R and RW (despite that cDVD holds much shorter time of video)? because I want to have a taste of KDVD before buying DVD burner. |
The best person to answer that question is Bud. Hey Bud, are you around
He's been using the KDVD templates more than enyone else!. He can tell you what to expect. PM him, or do a search here for user bud, and you'll find some great answers. kwag |

one more format?? cDVD?
 please, anyone did comparision between cDVD and KVCD? Thanks |
cDVD
No this is not a new format, it's a utility that your can record on to a DVD-R that allows you to play back a DVD-R on a standar CD-Rom unit. In DVDiT program you can have the cDVD added to your DVD-R at the time your make it finale.

Hi there,
If I a DVD -/+ R(RW) which has 3 movies (KDVD half-D1) inside, and I want to extract one of the movies put it on CD-R by burning as SVCD / CVD (of course, I have to split into 2 mpeg files). Is it possible to do that, if so, HOW? Thanks in advance! |

MoovyGuy,
I am sorry to misled you, may be I didn't put my question clearly. I want to extract one of the movies out from DVD -/+ WITHOUT re-encoding the video stream (I know I will probably re-encode the audio stream from 48 to 44.1 if I put it in CD-R as KVCD). So, I am wondering if the video stream of KDVD half D1 (although it is mpeg-2) is compatible to be burn as SVCD? |
