Audio synchronising

Sometimes I have a problem with audio synchro on my KVCD's / DVD rips. This happens on my Cyberhome DVD player.

When you press the pause button and then "play" again the audio is perfect, so it's not a "big" problem. However, I want to solve it if possible....

The VBV buffer setting seems to be involved..... I have this set on 48 (for KVCD) or 112 for SKVCD (have read these values somewhere before...)

Does anybody know a solution ?

PS: I (still) use DVD2SVCD V 1.1.3 build 2 beta 7......

Really would appreciate input..........:-)

Nobody has this problem sometimes ?

Correct values are 40 (not 48 ) and 112 but make a try with 0.
I do everything with this value and I didn't notice any synch problem since so long that I didn't even remember I had them when I started to make KVCD :-)

But I'm not sure that is what has solved the problem.

How do you mux your files? Using TmpegEnc?
If yes, change to bbmpeg its more secure, cause I also had these problems when using TmpgEnc muxing engine.

After this, when you author your bin cue files using VCDeasy, you can watch the log during generating the disk images.
If the Log shows sometimes ...

"No mpeg audio stream header found.." .... you can ignore it

but if it shows

"No mpeg header found.." ... youl have a problem, and this happens to me when using tmpgEnc's muxing engine.
This also was responsible for the problems you told above.

Thankx for the response.....

@Dialhot:
I know standard values are 40 and 112, but I somewhere (doom/vcdhelp ?) read that raising these values can prevent audio synchro problems........apparently not :-(. Using "0" (auto) also gave me the audio synch problem sometimes........(?)

@incredible
As I use DVD2SVCD to do everything, BBMPEG is used for the muxing, but occasionally I use VCD easy to create the Bin file (if I want the DVD cover pic in my movie) so I'll watch for those error message you mention.....

Strange thing is that it doesn't happen all the time (10% of encodes).......for instance Lilo & Stitch + LOTR - 2 towers I have this problem. Also I find it strange that pressing pause and then play again on the DVD standalone corrects the audio problem.........

If someone thinks of something, let me know OK ? (searching the forums has not brought me to a solution...........).

PS: I always use internal routines of DVD2SVCD for the ripping (external rippers-> known to cause audio synchro problems according to D2S FAQ).
