Illegal Floating Point Error TMPGEnc 2.53
I was about to purchase the PRO when my 2.53 started having an Illegal Floating Point Error. I have read articles about turning OFF the SSE & SSE2 but that causes the encoding time to double (or more). What is the point of having a nice P4 if I cannot use its full power.
What is going on here? These are NTSC DVD rips. I have successfully used 2.53 to encode non stadard VCDs based upon the KVCD templates. IN FACT, I have encoded the same video several times and got the ERROR when I made a reduction in MAX bitrate to make the file smaller. Here is what happended: 1) 704x480 29.97fps CQ 50 300-1500 44k 128kbps.mpg WORKED! File 831MB 2) 704x480 23.976fps CQ 50 300-1440 44k 128kbps.mpg WORKED! File 731MB 3) 704x480 29.97fps CQ 50 300-1440 44k 128kbps.mpg ERROR! File ??MB What is happening? :( |
Re,
if you check back on vcdhelp, baldrick put up a page on tmpgenc problems. Have you tried doing the audio separately on the third encode that you are doing? http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm#problems http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic....2d1898a3ed4f69 zTr |
